April, 2017 - The activity filled a large open drainage area that had been preventing the flow of rainwater runoff to a sacred spring. The Hopi Raincatchers filled and carried hundreds of sandbags which were placed carefully around the walls of this large open area until it was completely filled, no longer an obstacle to the natural flow of rainwater runoff. The continuation of the project will be the responsibility of the Hopi Raincatchers who will train other youth to restore their watersheds, working in cooperation with the Hopi Water Department.

With great respect and gratitude to every raindrop, a zero runoff policy must be adopted everywhere in the world.
